Verdict

Given that FOX'S SOCKS showed fair form in bumpers for Nicky Henderson before a quiet start to his hurdling career for his current yard, there's a good chance that a lowly opening mark of 80 could underestimate him. As such it's worth taking a chance on him, with fellow handicap debutant Rickety Gate another to consider. Last-time-out winner Alramz is also respected.
