Yibir (13/8), King Vega (15/8), Bake (7/1), Top Brass (9/1), Power Station (10/1), Marselan (22/1), Greystoke (40/1), Rogue Nation (50/1), River Wharfe (80/1), Bagara (100/1)

Verdict

Of those with previous racecourse experience, Charlie Appleby's Yibir sets the standard without necessarily raising the bar overly high. Therefore, this should go the way of a newcomer with Bake (Martyn Meade), King Vega (Andrew Balding) and Power Station (Richard Hannon) all worthy of close market inspection. Nevertheless, and despite probably seeking a truer test of stamina (1m2f plus) in time, the most logical selection is John Gosden's well-bred Gleneagles colt TOP BRASS.
  1. Top Brass
  2. Power Station
  3. King Vega
