Verdict

The Mags Mullins-trained BALLYMAC BOY can land the closing race by getting off the mark at the sixth time of asking for connections. The nine-year-old can progress from a near miss in a Tipperary handicap chase earlier this month finishing second of 14 behind The Trigger. Raised 4lb for his troubles the Scorpion gelding can land the spoils at the expense of Matthew Smith-trained Eimear who has been running with credit over hurdles at Limerick and earlier this month at Tipperary. The J P McManus-owned Don't Let Go is better than a number of recent efforts suggest and could give a good account along with Mossy White for trainer Denis Hogan and Gigiplan Two Seven on handicap debut.
  1. Ballymac Boy
  2. Eimear
