Verdict

Various horses in this contest are looking to strike at this level for the first time and PLATINUM STAR looks the one to beat. The two-year-old's only disappointing performance came over 7f and the manner of his victory at Ripon suggested he is a group performer in waiting over sprint distances. Dream shot was narrowly denied in a Group 2 last time and will prove to be a threat if he can find some consistency and replicate that form, while the likes of Lazuili and Ickworth have shown they have their quirks but have shown class in their races to date.
  1. Platinum Star
  2. Dream Shot
  3. Lazuli
