Verdict

A field made up entirely of nursery debutants, so the market is likely to prove informative. There was plenty to like about the manner of Dream Mount's recent Lingfield win and Marco Botti's colt should continue to progress but LA LA LAND takes the eye off an opening mark of 73. Being a $165,000 son of Dark Angel, Jamie Osborne's colt is bred to be a fair bit better than this level and it would be no surprise if he was to leave his maiden form behind in first-time cheekpieces. Recent Kempton winner Iconic Sunset is also respected over a longer trip.
