Forecasts

Magical Effect (11/4), Lagenda (9/2), Acrux (11/2), Sakhee's Return (8/1), Bahamian Bird (17/2), Tadaawol (10/1), Johnny Cavagin (11/1), Shouranour (12/1), Michele Strogoff (14/1), Jacquard (25/1), Adam's Ale (33/1), Maureb (66/1)

Verdict

Tadaawol will attract most of the attention after bolting up over C&D under different riding tactics earlier in the month. However, with a 10lb rise to contend with, there are plenty of others with reasonably strong form to take him on with this afternoon. Johnny Cavagin has slipped to a winning mark and should run a solid race, whilst Shouranour is ideally suited by 7f at this track. Magical Effect is in excellent order at present for Ruth Carr and can be involved if staying this longer trip, but ACRUX looks the likeliest winner. His draw isn't ideal, but he made a pleasing start for David O'Meara at Doncaster recently, and new to that stable, there should be plenty more to work upon despite a 4lb higher mark.
  1. Acrux
  2. Johnny Cavagin
  3. Tadaawol
