Verdict

A field of 16 newcomers line-up here and so the betting market will be as informative as anything. This would be an interesting heat if it involved only the four Ballydoyle runners, given their pedigree and the expense at which they've been acquired. There are exciting sons of Frankel in Spanish Point and Zabriskie, both of which must be respected, but it has got to be noted that Ryan Moore instead opts to partner THREEANDFOURPENCE, a son of War Front that holds a Group 1 entry in the Dewhurst. He looks the one to side with on jockey bookings but, as ever, tread carefully with the O'Brien newcomers. Of the remainder, Hazapour, closely related to Harzand, could run very well with the Weld team now in peak health while the final Ballydoyle contender Hunting Horn is no slouch on paper either and Ger Lyons' Gobi Desert is one to look out for.
  1. Threeandfourpence
  2. Spanish Point
  3. Hazapour
