6f French Group 2 winner. Ran as if amiss in Phoenix next time but shaped as if back in form when travelling well in 5f Flying Childers at Doncaster. Fair fifth in 7f Group 2 in July. 5 lb penalty.
Sprung a 100/1 surprise on 6f Windsor debut last month but only seventh of 8 in 6f Ripon listed event since. Will need to improve for the step up to 7f if he's to play a part here.
Pretty useful but his limitations have been exposed on a couple of occasions and he was behind Yazaman when fourth in a valuable sales event at Doncaster last time. Others preferred for win purposes.
750,000 gns yearling who looked a good prospect when making a winning debut at Ascot (7f, good) last month. Can take the step up in class in his stride.
Clear-cut Newbury debut winner prior to finding just one too good in Coventry at Ascot. His 2 subsequent efforts have been a shade disappointing but clearly talented if back on his game.
Runner-up twice at Group 2 level. Back from a lesser run in Gimcrack when second in valuable sales event at Doncaster (6.5f) latest. Races lazily and not most straightforward but leading form claims.
La Barrosa (4/7), Yazaman (9/2), Qaader (11/2), Dark Lion (16/1), Ventura Tormenta (18/1), Albadri (50/1)
LA BARROSA looked potentially smart when quickening up in good style to land a strong-looking Ascot maiden on debut and he can make a successful transition to pattern company. Yazaman tends to race lazily but is proven at this sort of level and he may provide the chief threat unless Qaader can recapture the form he showed when second in the Coventry.
