The Richard Fahey column returns for the 2018 Flat campaign ahead of Saturday's 32Red Lincoln meeting at Doncaster.
Mr Lupton is our first turf runner of the season in the Unibet Cammidge Trophy Stakes. He's wintered well and is a horse who runs well fresh. He has a bit to find with a couple of these but I think he’ll run well.
He's still a bit hairy – but he was when he won at Newmarket last spring.

He's got to step on what he’s done so far and has been a little disappointing but he’s another who has done really well over the winter and it will be interesting to see how he goes.
Another Touch has a few pounds to find with his rivals in the Unibet Doncaster Mile but he’s race fit having had a couple of outings over in Dubai and won’t mind the ground.
We run three in the 32Red Lincoln. Gabrial is a previous winner of the race and ran well when fourth in it last year.
He is what he is – and needs his A-game to be competitive again – but ran okay at Lingfield last time and is still capable on his day.
If Stamp Hill stays he has a big chance. We’re very happy with him and he'll love the ground. He arrives there fit and well. He's still to prove to me that he truly stays a strongly-run mile but wasn't stopping at the end of the International at Ascot last summer.
It was a pleasant surprise to see Withernsea get into the race. He’ll love the ground but he’s rated 97 and will find it hard off that mark.
We’ve had a bit of a problem getting our two-year-olds onto the grass this year. We normally do it at the beginning of March to sort them out but there was two foot of snow on the Malton turf gallops then and they’e been saturated ever since.
Wasntexpectingthat heads to the Unibet Brocklesby Stakes without being away first so we’re going completely on homework here at Musley Bank. If the ones he’s been working with are alright then he’ll run very well as he’s been shaping nicely – but it’s even more of a guessing game than normal.
I always seem to have an excuse for Golconda Prince but he’s been disappointing and is proving very tough to win with. We try again in the 32Red.com Apprentice Handicap where trip and ground should be ideal.
Dubai Acclaim is a progressive sort who is going to make up into a nice horse one day. He runs in the 32Red.com Handicap at Wolverhampton which is competitive despite a small field. We like our horse and he’s going the right way.
Wilde Oscar must be 16.2, he’s a big, backward, horse. He will win races this year but just needs to run from the stalls and put it all together. He comes here off a low weight and with a low rating, one he’ll be capable of winning from.
I’m not saying it will be on Saturday in the 32Red Casino Handicap, but it will fall into place somewhere with him.
