Rahane's 103 was his first three-figure ODI score in 35 innings and helped the tourists take a 1-0 series lead.
Rain washed out the first ODI on Friday and the weather reduced the second contest to 43 overs a side.
India were inserted to bat and made quick progress, with Rahane's ton added to by 63 from fellow opener Shikhar Dhawan and a 66-ball 87 from skipper Virat Kohli as the visitors posted 310 for five.
Shai Hope was the one ray of light in the hosts' line-up, hitting 81, but the Windies managed just 205 for six against the Champions Trophy runners-up.
