O'Sullivan pulls out of British Open; no reason given for withdrawal

Six-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan has withdrawn from next month’s British Open in Leicester.

No explanation has been offered for the world number three deciding to pull out before the draw was made for the world ranking event.

O’Sullivan is replaced in the field by James Cahill as the British Open returns after a 17-year absence with a first prize of £100,000.
