Verdict

It's very hard to see past STAGE STAR who was a very good bumper performer last season and should have a bright future over hurdles. The well-bred Young Butler had a possible excuse when a well-beaten fourth in his sole bumper start and has potential as a hurdler with the Emma Lavelle team in reasonable form. Deeper Blue was third on his hurdle bow in the spring and could also play a part.
