Verdict

BEAUPORT made it second time lucky over hurdles in the manner of a potentially useful novice here last month and looks up to defying a penalty on that evidence. Golden Boy Grey took a step in the wrong direction at Newbury, but it's worth pointing out that was a good race, with Calvario clear pick of the remainder for a yard that has just turned a corner.
