Verdict

KIPLING had the run of the race but couldn't make his experience count when fifth at Newmarket last July. Aidan O'Brien's charge boasts a superb pedigree and retains potential though, so he's expected to make a bold bid on his first start after more than a year off. Bligh rates the chief threat having been unlucky not to finish much closer at Galway, ahead of sole newcomer Shalott.
