Verdict

King Golan is a much improved chaser, and he provided amateur Alison Clarke with a first success in the saddle with a gritty display at Market Rasen last month. The five-year-old Miss Batten has precious few miles on the clock for Lucinda Russell and with a decent pedigree should find a suitable opportunity sooner or later. However, the advice in today's contest is to stick with one of the Hexham specialists, namely CLASSICAL MILANO. He was dominant throughout when registering a second C&D success in June, and if returning from a short break in the same fettle should go very close off just a 4lb higher mark.
  1. Classical Milano
  2. Miss Batten
  3. King Golan
