The Corporal (5/2), Alhaazm (7/2), Beguiling Charm (5/1), Balladeer (13/2), Assembled (7/1), The Throstles (10/1), First Response (14/1), Windsor Cross (20/1), Cafe Espresso (33/1)

Verdict

THE CORPORAL is a fairly confident choice having appeared to turn over a new leaf when winning nicely over C&D last time. If in similar form a 5lb higher mark may not be enough to foil his follow-up bid. Beguiling Charm also won last time at Leicester, and is respected, although she has to prove she can do it away from the Odeby circuit. There are plenty of others with chances in an open affair, including Newbury winner The Throstles, first time tongue-tied Alhaazm, and Balladeer, who steps up in trip.
  1. The Corporal
  2. Balladeer
  3. Alhaazm
