Verdict

This looks set to be a highly entertaining renewal of the Midlands National. The latest run of Cecil Corbett, which came over hurdles, should probably be ignored, as it is more than likely that connections were probably wanting to keep his chase mark down ahead of this contest.Ned Stark took a sizeable step forward from his return from a long layoff when successful at Perth. There is likely to be more to come from him. However, the one who makes greatest appeal is RATHNURE REBEL. The selection has only had the three starts over fences and has fared encouragingly behind some smart sorts. He can make a successful transition to the handicap sphere.
  1. Rathnure Rebel
  2. Ned Stark
  3. Cecil Corbett
