Verdict

This looks a little better in terms of quality than the usual novice events here with two hurdles debutants in Pacify and Perfect City who are rated in the 90’s on the Flat who could well outclass the other former Flat horses in the field. However experience can count for something and with Purple King coming from a stable that has won this race twice before (also already placed over hurdles) and EMERALD ROCKET having displayed decent hurdles form so far that pair are given the edge despite both having Flat ratings nowhere near the classy debut pair. All of the others look outclassed although Toshima would be of interest in handicaps on what he’s shown so far.
  1. Emerald Rocket
  2. Purple King
  3. Pacify
