Verdict

A largely unappealing contest in which Emmet Mullins saddles his first ever Musselburgh runner (for locally based owner Gerry McGladery). Yeats mare Yeats Baby was heavily supported when winning at Fakenham in November, so rates as one for the short-list. However, a couple against the field at better prices are the top-weight Donnas Dream who is perfectly at ease on a sound surface and the unexposed mare SPLASH THE CASH. On pedigree, this 6yo Jennie Candlish-trained mare should be suited by stepping up in trip (to 3m), and a positive showing from Frame Rate in the 3.40pm race would further enhance her already obvious chance.
  1. Splash The Cash
  2. Donnas Dream
  3. Rockalzaro
