Verdict

The Gowran Park meeting of BIRTH OF VENUS (first) and Dawn Hoofer (second) is perhaps key to this puzzle. The runner-up scored next time out at the Curragh and has run well from 8lb higher at Leopardstown this week. Jim Bolger's filly seems likely to run well again but the selection is meeting her on better terms this time and also looks likely to make further progress. Bibliotheca is unlikely to be afforded the sort of easy lead that contributed to victory last time, while Dancing Doll is worth noting in the betting over this longer trip in a contest where none can be discounted.
  1. Birth Of Venus
  2. Dawn Hoofer
  3. Dancing Doll
