Verdict

A typically competitive renewal of this in which previous winner and top-weight The Romford Pele holds obvious claims given his form at the end of last year, while Stellar Notion deserves a place on the shortlist having won very well at Kelso last time out. However VIRGILIO hasn't quite managed to build on the promise of his early career (including when runner-up in the Grade 1 Kauto Star), but still arrives here in good form having won at Aintree last time. He may well prove a bit better than this mark in time, and can record another win on his preferred good ground here.
  1. Virgilio
  2. The Romford Pele
  3. Stellar Notion
