Verdict

FINAL NUDGE looks sure mount a bold bid having run well in two competitive handicaps this term. He was in there pitching for a long way in the Welsh National last month and also ran a stormer at Wincanton on his reappearance. Rated 1lb lower than last time, the return to this conventional trip could be the key for him. Yala Enki went well on his only hurdling visit here and can get involved for last year's winning trainer/jockey combo while Bishops Road is another that should be served well down in trip after running in the rearranged Welsh National. Sametegal put up a good effort on New Year's Day and has scope over three-miles while the improving Wicked Willy is well worth noting and gets the vote as the best of Nigel Twiston-Davies' chances.
  1. Final Nudge
  2. Wicked Willy
  3. Bishops Road
