Verdict

A competitive contest, and not all that much to choose between a number of the runners. Percy Street (sixth) came out best of those to contest the Grade 3 Fred Winter Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March, and has the benefit of a recent run on the Flat. Dolos was further back in that contest (13th), but bounced back to form thereafter and commands respect given his trainers fine record in this race, and most likely has the better of Fidux. Champagne City is fast improving, but this is altogether tougher, whilst Talent To Amuse might just need this race in order to strip fitter. Therefore, a token selection is for the Alan King trained DINO VELVET. He hasn't been over-raced, and his mark is probably a fair one for his return to action.
  1. Dino Velvet
  2. Dolos
  3. Champagne City
