Verdict

A compact field of five, but a competitive handicap despite the field size with a number of horses coming into the race in fairly rude health. Both Beeno and Prince Khurram arrive seeking a four timer after stealthily climbing the handicap. The former has to prove his versatility away from Cartmel, whilst for the latter this race represents a sharp step up in class. Therefore, on the back of a solid effort at Sedgefield earlier this month when splitting the likeable Our Kylie and the winning novice Gibson Park, the vote goes to the Malcolm Jefferson trained MASTER OF FINANCE. A four time winner on the Flat for Mark Johnston, this sharp and uncomplicated circuit should suit.
