Verdict

Sigurd, Atomix and Picknick Park all have form against decent novices which gives them a chance in this. Those efforts have not been backed up subsequently and all three remain hard to evaluate. Either one of them may prove good enough and market moves are worth noting. NEXT EDITION has been a popular horse at Phil Kirby's yard and is awaiting honourable retirement. Connections are hoping for one last hurrah and today could be their day. They have been waiting for good ground and now return to a track which has produced some of his best displays. He will get few better opportunities than this to sign of with a win. Newstart is the "dark horse" in the lineup having shown little until cruising throughout a Wetherby seller on his debut for Brian Ellison. That effort shows him to be on a fair mark here if he can run to the same level again. Dubai Celebrity returned from a layoff to produce his best effort over hurdles on his handicap debut. His sire gets horses who stay so this extra half mile could bring some improvement.
