Verdict

A tough race to asses given that many of the runners are returning to the track after long absences. The champion trainer fires three at this and, strictly on form, Diakali has the clearest credentials. He hasn't run for 19 months however and faces two French-import stablemates that could be anything. Both have won their only previous outings and so it is suggested to side with the champion jockey's choice BONBON AU MIEL, who cruised home in his previous run. Stablemate Aurko also has plenty potential in famous colours. I Shot The Sheriff must also defy a long absence but was going the right way when last seen. Hidden Cyclone should run an honest race again but, at 12, it will be a surprise if there isn't something waiting in the wings to best him.
  1. Bonbon Au Miel
  2. Diakali
  3. Hidden Cyclone
