Verdict

Temasek Star is a fascinating Irish raider with a good strike rate at Dundalk. However, this track is more demanding, and something around 1m3f could be his optimum trip with the sneaking suspicion being his stamina may be overstretched, especially with proven stayer Jan Smuts in the line up. GENRES also has stamina to prove, but he travelled like a good horse last time over shorter, and his most appealing handicap mark is enough to give him the vote with the Swinbank horses in reasonable form. He has held other entries here (over shorter) since that fourth placed effort, so presumably connections feel that the step up in trip will suit.. 1. Genres 2. Jan Smuts 3. Miss Tree
