9/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, last of 11 in handicap at Newbury (16.5f, good) 47 days ago. Reproduction of efforts over this C&D and Newcastle earlier in the year would give him every chance.
Two wins from 4 runs this year. Latest win at York in July. 7/1, fourteenth of 17 in handicap there (16.2f, good) 16 days ago, slowly away. Booking of Oisin Murphy a plus but others preferred.
C&D winner. 5/1, fourth of 12 in novice hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good) on NH debut 18 days ago. One or two of these look better treated at present.
C&D winner. 3 wins from 7 runs this year. Latest win at Goodwood in June. Creditable third of 6 in handicap (9/1) at Newmarket (14f, firm) 27 days ago. 1 lb lower now and he needs considering.
Latest win at Sandown in July. 13/2, fifth of 6 in handicap at Newmarket (14f, firm) 27 days ago. Visor back on. Safely held sole previous start on polytrack.
Unreliable individual. Blinkered for 1st time, sixth of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (14f, 17/2) 8 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Probably needs some respite from the handicapper.
Carnwennan (3/1), Dance To Paris (4/1), Pianissimo (5/1), Mouriyani (11/2), Road To Paris (6/1), Monsieur Lambrays (7/1), High Wells (12/1)
This looks ripe for the consistent DANCE TO PARIS, who has hit the crossbar in handicaps at Beverley and Ripon the last twice. She will be very much at home back on this surface and the booking of William Buick adds to her appeal. Returning to the all-weather is also a good thing where Carnwennan is concerned and he is feared most, albeit only marginally as Mouriyani is greatly respected, too.
