Handicap winner at Tramore last term but struggling since, including 6L defeat on seasonal return at Fairyhouse over 1m5f in June. Of interest when further down in the weights.

Left Gavin Cromwell to join current connections in the autumn and four very laboured efforts over fences so far. Winner of two of his 15 starts on the Flat. Looks a tall order.

Recently seen since racing resumed on the Flat and jumping a hurdle at Kilbeggan last month, well beaten on each occasion. Needs to improve significantly.

Posted a career best effort finishing second of 14 runners beaten 7L in a Leopardstown 1m2f handicap earlier this month. Comes into the reckoning with significant step up in trip.

Still a maiden after nine career starts and was never nearer when 5L sixth in 1m1f Gowran handicap last month before another dismal effort at the Curragh earlier this month. Plenty more required in this.

Yet to hit the frame in 13 starts on the racecourse including six efforts on turf. Has not looked a winner in waiting in a number of starts including a couple of dour performances since returning to action last month.

Nine-race maiden, yet to hit the frame in six starts on turf. Out ran her odds of 100/1 to finish 2½L, fifth of 13 runners at Bellewstown earlier this month. Needs to back that run up here.

Seven-race maiden on the Flat, yet to hit the frame on any occasion. Down the field as the beaten favourite on return to action at Leopardstown over 1m4f last month. Others preferred in first-time cheekpieces.

Had been hinting at a big run before getting off the mark for connections at the eighth time of asking on his fifth Flat start on turf. Has to be considered given overall form since comeback off a 6lb higher mark.

Running well in defeat in a couple of starts since returning to action at Roscommon last month. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.

Has failed to build on a promising reappearance at Gowran Park last month in a couple of dismal efforts at Tipperary and Leopardstown since. Profile suggests she is worth taking on again.

Forecasts

Little Brother (9/4), Rip Rocks Paddy Ok (16/5), Dawn Over Owning (9/2), Molly Kaye (11/1), Happy Company (11/1), Paula's Prayer (11/1), See The Eagle Fly (12/1), Vivalicious (16/1), Archer's Up (28/1), Dashing Diamond (33/1), Cash In Mind (33/1), Ifyouhaveaminute (200/1)

Verdict

The fact that LITTLE BROTHER had hinted at a big run before landing the spoils at Sligo earlier this month puts the gelding in pole position here. The three-year-old got off the mark for connections at the eighth time of asking on his fifth Flat start on turf, winning a 1m5f handicap off a 6lb lower mark, beating 11 rivals and Jeff Kidder a neck. The Joseph O'Brien-trained Dawn Over Owing and See The Eagle Fly, 5¼L behind Little Brother at Sligo, can compete for the minor honours. Cash In Mind and Paula's Prayer should not be taken lightly.
  1. Little Brother
  2. Dawn Over Owning
  3. See The Eagle Fly
