Shale ran out a ready winner of Leopardstown's Frank Conroy Silver Flash Stakes for Donnacha O'Brien and Gavin Ryan.
A regally bred juvenile, by Galileo out of 1000 Guineas winner Homecoming Queen, she tracked the trailblazing Finest until being sent for home at the two furlong marker.
The 14/1 chance was never in any danger from that point, being driven out to repel 2/1 favourite Pretty Gorgeous by two lengths.
The pair were nicely clear of A Ma Chere in third.
Paddy Power and Betfair introduced the winner to their QIPCO 1000 Guineas market at 33/1.
The winning rider told Racing TV: "She's a lovely filly and I'm very grateful to the owners and Donnacha for letting me keep the ride.
"She won her maiden nicely at Gowran on slower ground last time and the going here was our only worry. We like her at home, she has loads of ability and picked up well today.
"She has a wickedly-high cruising speed and floats into her races. I think this was a really good contest. Joseph (O'Brien) thinks the second is a very nice filly and ours is too. A mile will probably be her trip."
"We thought she'd improved from her maiden and this was a nice one to get," the winning trainer added.
"The front two are smart fillies and we'll work back from the Moyglare now. The Debutante might come into it."
