Five runners for our columnist at Haydock this afternoon. Check out his thoughts on them all in his latest column.
2.45 Haydock – Kuwait Shield
This is a horse I like. He’s progressive and ran well a few times at two. He’s been gelded over the winter which will help him and I’d like to think he’ll improve a bit more too. Rain would help him.
3.15 Haydock – Al Rasmah
She’s a filly I like a lot. She won on debut at Chester and then bombed out completely at Ayr, albeit in a good race. She reappears in a warm contest here too but has progressed nicely over the winter and I think going up to seven furlongs will really suit.
3.50 Haydock – Right Action
His best form is always on slower ground, although he has run well on a quicker surface a few times. He’s another who would benefit from the odd shower and he goes there in good form.
3.50 Haydock – Zip
Similar comments apply to him and if it stayed quick I might not run him. That’s the difficulty with 72-hour declarations but he’s a reliable sprinter who has run some good races for us and he’s going well right now.
4.25 Haydock – Dreaming Blue
He’s progressive and even though he’s by Showcasing, he definitely takes after his dam. He’s a big horse and I think he’s on a decent mark here too.
