Six runners for our columnist at Hamilton on Sunday. Check out his thoughts on them all including Ventura Express.
HAMILTON SUNDAY
2.40 Ventura Express
She’s a horse very capable of winning races and I’d love to see her get her head in front here. The return to six furlongs should suit and I think she’ll go well.
3.40 Entrancing
She ran well earlier in the campaign including when second at York in July. She’s been a little disappointing the last twice and needs to bounce back but would go well if she did.
4.10 Absolute Dream
A frustrating horse who has the ability to win a race like this. I’d be delighted if he did for owner Steve Clayton and he has run well on his last two starts which gives us hope.
4.10 G For Gabrial
He’s been very disappointing and hasn’t been showing anything of late. His mark has dropped as a result though and he’d have a chance in this if anywhere near his best. He just hasn’t been of late.
4.40 – Sir Havelock
On form he definitely has a chance in this. He’s just had a few niggly little issues which have stopped him from running very often but I’m sure he’ll grow out of them. He’d be a big player here on his A Game.
5.40 Viceregent
He won well here earlier in the month and I hope it’s a case of horses for courses. He absolutely flew up the hill that day and it would be nice to see him do that again from a four pounds higher mark.
