Fran Berry has two each-way tips and a strong fancy on this evening's all-weather card at Dundalk - check out his selections.
Two each-way fancies at Dundalk tonight but the best bet on the card looks to be UBUME in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.
Kokura looks a worthy favourite for Johnny Murtagh, essentially being a winner in a maiden after his demotion to second here at the end of January.
However, he's not well drawn in stall 10 and Joseph O'Brien's Ubume wasn't far behind the Murtagh colt on that occasion and it was her debut outing.
With all the attention on the stewards' enquiry it was possibly missed just how well Ubume ran in sixth and she's nicely drawn now in stall one.
Joseph's horses have been improving a lot for a run so she's every chance of overturning the form.
She's down a furlong in distance which may not be ideal for a daughter of Ruler Of The World but she's out of a sharp enough mare and shouldn't have too any issues trip-wise.
POET'S PRIDE is a horse I've put up before in the column and I'm keeping the faith in division one of the Fundraise At Dundalk Stadium Handicap.
He won a couple for David Barron on the all-weather and his last win came off 60 but he ran well in big-field handicaps afterwards including at Doncaster so his current mark (64) shouldn't be beyond him.
He's had three runs for David Marnane on the all-weather and was much better last time when fourth.
This represents a drop in grade and he just looks ready to go in now. The 8/1 rates a decent each-way price.
The other one I like at an each-way price is SILK CRAVAT in division two of the same seven furlong handicap.
He doesn't have a great draw in stall 13 but Colin Keane is back on board and he really got on well with the horse in the past so it could prove to be a significant booking.
He was rated 80-odd in his youth and is a three-time course winner who is starting to look well treated (65) on the back of an encouraging fourth over a mile here when last seen in January. He looks to be finding his level again.
