Twiston-Davies on Ballyandy: "We've always thought an awful lot of him and we can't understand why he didn't do better in his first three races but he managed to handicap himself nicely and let's go on to better things now."

The master of Venn Farm may be heading into the Cheltenham Festival without leading light Thistlecrack but he still holds two outstanding chances in the Gold Cup, while his strong team is also contains the likes of West Approach, Royal Vacation and Finians Oscar. Will Hayler was in deepest Dorset to get the latest.
Tizzard on Cue Card: "We thought his chance might have gone, but he has an equally good chance this year as he had last year."

Ben Linfoot was in Ireland to meet the man leading the race to be Ireland's champion trainer. Gordon Elliott is set to field his biggest ever team at next months Cheltenham Festival and has high hopes for Outlander, Tombstone and Empire Of Dirt, among many others.
Elliott on Empire Of Dirt: "He’s going for the Ryanair, that’s the plan and it looks like he has a chance. Unless something happens to Outlander or Don Poli he’ll be in the Ryanair."

Will Hayler visited Britain's champion trainer in Ditcheat, where Nicholls was in positive mood about the chances of JLT Novices' Chase contender Politologue and potential Fred Winter hope Dreamcatching.
Nicholls on Romain De Senam: "He's been running in small-field novice chases, he wants a real fast-run race where he can use his jumping and stay on into the race. He's on the right mark to be winning and he's crying out for two and a half in a fast-run race."

Ben Linfoot got the lowdown from Henry de Bromhead, who plans to bring "10 or 12" runners over from his County Waterford base to the 2017 Festival, including Champagne West and Petit Mouchoir.
De Bromhead on Special Tiara: "He’s in mighty form. He’s had two runs on ground he would’ve hated this year but the day he got his good ground he won nicely at Kempton. He loves it and he’s been third in the Champion Chase the last two years."
