Wednesday's national newspaper transfer gossip include Jurgen Klopp's desire to sign a Norwich defender and Jack Grealish's new contract offer at Aston Villa.

DAILY TELEGRAPH

  • Liverpool are interested in Norwich City's £10 million-rated defender Jamal Lewis as Jurgen Klopp considers strengthening his options following Dejan Lovren's exit.
  • Jurgen Klopp has signed a personal endorsement deal with Adidas that underlines his unique commercial appeal - in the same summer that Liverpool will begin their lucrative kit deal with the German sportswear company's key rival, Nike.
  • Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is set to join Tottenham for £15m. The deal will see full-back Kyle Walker-Peters going in the opposite direction in a permanent deal worth £12m.
  • Manchester United have warned Borussia Dortmund that they are willing to walk away from a move for Jadon Sancho unless the German club lower their exorbitant £108m demands for the England winger.
  • Jose Mourinho is on the brink of making Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg his first summer signing at Tottenham in a £15m deal from Southampton after progress in talks between the clubs this week.
  • Newcastle are considering a double swoop for Bournemouth striker Josh King and Welsh midfielder David Brooks.
  • Premier League clubs will consider screening other matches before and after their own live games, as well as additional stadium entertainment, as part of proposals to convince the government that fans can safely return.

  • Manchester City are set to collect about £15m if Jadon Sancho's transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United goes ahead thanks to a sell-on clause in the deal that took him to Germany.
  • Arsenal have offered a three-year contract to Willian as he edges closer to leaving Chelsea as a free agent. The midfielder has rejected a two-year deal to stay at the west London club.
  • Charlton Athletic have received support from as many as seven Sky Bet Championship clubs after threatening to launch a legal challenge against the controversial decision to delay a 12-point deduction for Sheffield Wednesday until next season.

  • Aston Villa hope to keep captain Jack Grealish by offering a new contract worth £100,000 a week.
