Gerwyn Price has 'one eye on becoming World Champion' after lifting his third TV title in Salzburg on Sunday.
Price fought back from 8-4 down to defeat Rob Cross 11-9 in a thrilling climax to the World Series of Darts Finals which saw the world number three avenge his 2019 European Championship final defeat to Cross.
Having picked up the last two events at last week's Autumn Series, Price has now won 17 PDC matches in a row, earning him £90,0000 over his last five days in action.
"The big one [World Championship] is the one I want," Price told www.pdc.tv. "Obviously, I've got one eye on the Worlds and what it would mean to be World Champion.
"But first of all I'm looking forward to the European Tour event next week and the World Grand Prix after that. Whoever is going to beat me will have to play really well and take their chances because if they don't then I will.
"I believe that my 'A game' is better than anybody else's and that's all that matters. I'm confident in my own game.
"I was winding Daryl Gurney up in the week saying 'give me three years and nobody will beat me' but now I seem to believe that."
The two-time Grand Slam of Darts champion survived a missed match dart from Nathan Aspinall in the deciding leg of a thrilling quarter-final, before defying a 108 average from Peter Wright to win 11-6 in their semi-final.
After Cross landed a 110 checkout to move 8-4 up in the final, the Welshman regrouped by winning seven of the next eight legs, rounding off the victory on his favourite double top.
"I'm proud of myself for the way I dug deep to get the win," Price explained. "I've had to do that a few times in the last couple of weeks.
"I never give up anymore and I always believe I can win from any position in a game. Halfway through the game I was beating myself up and I shouldn't be like that.
"I was thinking 'oh here we go, just my luck' and I shouldn't think like that. I should be expecting players to play well against me. I'm still learning and winning events like this gives me a bit more belief."
Price will be joined by 47 other PDC stars at this weekend's German Darts Championship (European Tour Event Two) which will take place at Halle 39, Hildesheim from September 25-27.
