World Series of Darts Finals: Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright to headline event in Austria in September


Michael van Gerwen and world champion Peter Wright will headline the field for the 2020 World Series Finals, which is set to take place in Salzburg from September 18-20.

The 24-player tournament, hosted at the Salzburgarena, will see eight seeded players competing against 12 invited stars and four qualifiers from the PDC’s 128 tour card holders. 



Joining world number one and defending champion Van Gerwen as the seeded players will be Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall, Daryl Gurney and Gary Anderson. 

Newly-crowned World Matchplay champion Dimitri Van den Bergh is amongst the invitees, alongside James Wade, Dave Chisnall, Ian White, Mensur Suljovic, Fallon Sherrock, Simon Whitlock, Damon Heta, Kyle Anderson, Cody Harris, Jeff Smith and Darius Labanauskas.

The qualifier for the remaining four places will precede the freshly announced PDC Autumn Series on September 11 at Halle 39 in Hildesheim, Germany.



  • Coverage will be broadcast live on ITV4 in the UK, on PDCTV-HD for Rest of the World Subscribers and through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and RTL7.
